Viticulturist and Winemaker of the Year 2023

Each year on the third Sunday in February, the Barons of Barossa gather for the Declaration of Vintage celebration which includes the announcement of the Barossa Viticulturist and Winemaker of the Year. This coveted honour is received by those who have made a positive contribution to the Barossa wine industry, producing grapes and wines of excellence that exhibit and respect the regionality of Barossa and generously shares their knowledge with others in the region.

Tammy and Stuart Schutz – Schutz Barossa

2023 Barossa Winemaker of the Year:
Jack Scholz – Willows Vineyard

A recent innovation is the creation of Triplex, a once-only wine collaboration of the Winemaker and Viticulturist of the Year, available only to Vine Donors and Key Sponsors of The Barossa Cellar.
