Introducing generations of Barossa wine to the world
The Barossa Cellar’s modern, unique design is inspired by the traditional stone buildings of the region. Nestled amongst a vineyard, it will have a stunning outlook across the valley and literally be built into the earth; rooted in the soil where the Barossa’s world famous grapes are grown.
The Barossa Cellar will be a truly unique opportunity and experience for discerning wine consumers and collectors from all over the world and, for locals who love wine and are proud to support their community.
The venue will be a constantly evolving showcase of the finest Barossa wines; a home for the exhibition and communication of the Barossa’s grape growing and wine history, heritage, people and values. Apart from an impressive wine cellar, the building will include a range of gathering spaces suitable for wine education and appreciation events such as master classes, lectures and wine tastings. Meeting and office spaces have been incorporated for the day-to-day operation of the Barossa Grape and Wine Association (BGWA).
Ultimately, the building will be home to the finest, independent collection of Barossa wines.
The Barossa Cellar is destined to be the ‘heart and soul’ of the Barossa; a place that demonstrates the unity and values of the Barossa community. It will be a meeting place where wine and people come together.
