Viticulturist of the Year – Nigel van der Zande
Winemaker of the Year – Belinda van Eyssen
Winemaker of the Year, Belinda van Eyssen, represents a new generation of Barossa producers — grounded in tradition, yet confidently exploring what the region can become. As co-founder and winemaker of The Cutting, established in 2018 with her partner Daniel McDonald, Belinda produces small-batch wines that highlight both classic Barossa varieties and less conventional expressions, including Shiraz, Grenache, Cinsault and Chenin Blanc.
Her approach centres on freshness, vibrancy and site expression, bringing a refined and contemporary perspective to Barossa winemaking. Alongside her work in the winery, Belinda is an active and generous contributor to the local wine community, regularly sharing her knowledge and supporting the next wave of producers.
