Sally was born in Bordertown in 1978 and grew up on a mixed farm between the towns of Padthaway and Willalooka.

She started her working life in the kitchens of Adelaide as an apprentice chef, then moved to the UK where a stint working in wine retail at Oddbins in Notting Hill ignited her passion for all things wine. Upon returning to Adelaide, she worked across both big box and independent wine retail including The Edinburgh Cellars in Adelaide before moving to the Barossa in 2011 where she managed several Cellar Doors across the region.

Sally now works with the team at Tafe SA's Wine and Spirit School as a certified Wine and Spirits Education Trust educator and with John Duval Wines.

Sally holds a range of qualifications including the WSET Diploma, Barossa Wine School Master Educator, Certified Sherry Wine Specialist and has completed the AWRI Advanced Wine Assessment course.

Sally is currently on the board of the much loved Barossa Farmers Market and has previous experience on both Barossa Food and Barossa Tourism boards. She is also a regular at the Kind Hearted Kitchen cook ups where her previous training as a Chef ensures she always gets the chickens to bone out!
