Pete was born in Hobart, Tasmania in 1976 and completed his education at Launceston Church Grammar School. He began his career in Hospitality with The Sheraton Hotel Group which took him to the Gold Coast, Queensland where he completed his Bachelor of Hotel Management at Griffith University in 1999.

Pete has an extensive background in the hospitality industry with over 25 years' experience managing a range of venues in both metropolitan and regional areas.

In 2011, he became Director of Food and Beverage at the luxury Barossa property The Louise and their award-winning restaurant Appellation. Pete fell in love, not only with the region's amazing produce, but with the wonderful sense of community that permeates the Barossa.

A passionate member of the food and beverage industry in this region for over 12 years, he consulted to several businesses both locally and internationally before venturing into opening his own venue and is now co-owner of both Harvest Kitchen and Ember Pizza restaurants.

Pete has been part of the team behind community event The Breakfast Rave and pop-up café Little & Often and has been served on the Vintage Festival committee.

As well as running two successful restaurants, Pete has been actively involved in regional training programs for the next wave of hospitality staff and building the skills of the region in this area.

Pete and his partner Rebecca Flavel currently reside in Angaston with their 4 lovely girls, India, Frankie, Gweneth, and Maggie.
