James Rosenzweig was born into a family history of farming Barossa soils than began in 1858. After attending Nuriootpa High School, he began working the family vineyard. He purchased his first vineyard in his early 20’s, has continued to expand the family holdings to 100 hectares and has now built a small scale winery to compliment the vineyard.

James was the first grape grower in Australia to complete the Entwine environmental accreditation.

Regional prosperity has been paramount for James. A member of the steering committee to form Barossa Grape and Wine Association, he was a key player in creating the present all-inclusive peak body.

Recognised for his commitment to the region in 2018 when he received the BGWA Services to Industry award, James is the current chair of Grape Barossa, vice chair of the Barossa Vine Improvement Society and on the board of the BGWA.

James is married to Sahar and they have three children.
