Vic Patrick is widely regarded as one of the leading viticulturists in Australia, with a slew of awards acknowledging his service to the wine industry including The Roseworthy Old Collegians Award of Merit, Honorary Life Membership of the South Australian Wine Industry Association and most recently, the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2018.

Beginning as a lab assistant at Kaiser Stuhl in 1973, he moved through the ranks to become Director of Viticulture for industry giants, managing vineyards across the globe for the Fosters Group, Mildara Blass, Southcorp and Wynn’s.

Vic has been a tireless contributor to industry committees, boards, councils and institutes for over 40 years, giving freely of his knowledge and expertise. These include but are not limited to the South Australian Wine Industry Council, South Australian Wine Industry Association, South Australian Water Resources Council, International Trade Advisory Committee, Winemaker Federation of Australia, Wine Industry National Environment Committee, Wine Grape Council of South Australia and Chair of Wine Grape Growers Australia.

Vic lives in Eden Valley with his wife Margie, managing his Aberdeen Angus cattle enterprise.
